Salvage: to rescue or save especially from wreckage or ruin

[ARTful] Salvage was born from a love of creating, repurposing and salvaging. I simply abhor seeing perfectly "useful" items headed for the landfill or tucked away in a cardboard box, never seeing the light of day. I believe there is always beauty to be found, even under a layer of rust or a coating of dust. I see scratches, dents or imperfections as badges of honor to be worn proudly. I have a great love for the history, story and life of a piece. We lovingly dream up ways of restoring new life to these discarded and neglected fragments of life. I am glad you are here and hope you will come again often. Please make yourself at home; friends are always welcome. I'd be thrilled to hear from you and get to know you better.

Moving sale continues and a project.....

So, we are still in a holding pattern on housing, but hey, why worry yet, right. We still have 13 days! Ack! Will we rent, buy, build? Will we live in a hollow tree (Hey FREE cookies). Who knows? Meanwhile, I have decided to continue our moving sale until the end of the month. I, thanks to Wonder Boy's brilliant suggestion, packed nearly everything up in coded, ready to ship boxes, so all is well. :)

Today I have done some Markdowns & Re-listings, the  20% coupon is still valid until 9/30 [MOVING20] and 10 new windows are in the works over in the Etsy shoppe.......hope you'll stop by! :)

I actually have still been repurposing a bit, here & there. It's hard when your toys are all packed up! :::sniffle, sigh:::. But I can share the newest addition to the "Perfectly Pink, Peacock, Princess, Pirate bedroom" that belongs to Her Royal Majesty Princess Pookie and her humble Mistress Servant, me!

I scooped up this amazing (albeit disgustingly dirty lamp) this summer at a sale. I knew it was the perfect bedside lamp I had been dreaming of. So, Hubs and I tackled her.

He rewired her and I repainted her "parts" Flat Black (After using my fave Krylon Gray primer of course).

While he is rewiring her, he says, "You know that the bottom glass lights up too, right?
Squeal!! Why no, no I did not. How seriously cools is that?
I have my own beautiful night light.....awesome. I already have one repurposed light on my dresser with a gorgeous black beaded shade (which I just happened to have another one of) So, now she is adorned with proper, shiny head wear! What do you think? I think she is purrrrrrfect.

Oh, btw, ignore the naked nightstand. It is usually adorned with pretties and a to-die-for embroidered vintage peacock dresser scarf....but you know....it's packed! :::Sigh:::
