[ARTful] Salvage was born from a love of creating, repurposing and salvaging. I simply abhor seeing perfectly "useful" items headed for the landfill or tucked away in a cardboard box, never seeing the light of day. I believe there is always beauty to be found, even under a layer of rust or a coating of dust. I see scratches, dents or imperfections as badges of honor to be worn proudly. I have a great love for the history, story and life of a piece. We lovingly dream up ways of restoring new life to these discarded and neglected fragments of life. Some pretty great treasures......

....we found this past week via thrifting and yard sales. I LOVE the thrill of the hunt! :) It is especially great when DH can join me. We had a blast on Saturday hitting a bunch of great sales. I am currently looking for candlesticks, plates and the like for building dessert platters and 3 tiers. We even found a new to us thrift store! Woo Hoo! Here are some pics of my booty! (Keep in mind, they aren't quite as shiny as they could be....they had not made a trip through the dishwasher yet) LOL
