Salvage: to rescue or save especially from wreckage or ruin
[ARTful] Salvage was born from a love of creating, repurposing and salvaging. I simply abhor seeing perfectly "useful" items headed for the landfill or tucked away in a cardboard box, never seeing the light of day. I believe there is always beauty to be found, even under a layer of rust or a coating of dust. I see scratches, dents or imperfections as badges of honor to be worn proudly. I have a great love for the history, story and life of a piece. We lovingly dream up ways of restoring new life to these discarded and neglected fragments of life. I am glad you are here and hope you will come again often. Please make yourself at home; friends are always welcome. I'd be thrilled to hear from you and get to know you better.

New stained glass mosaic windows - UPDATE!
work is progressing well on the 8 windows. I already shared the first version of the orange window with you. It has since undergone 2 revisions and will be glued down this afternoon. Woot Woot! Here are the 3 new windows, glued and ready for grouting tonight. They are so unique it is hard for me to choose a fave. How about you?
These windows are sold but we will happily design and make a window to your specifications. New windows will be listed soon on Etsy. Contact us for info! :)

What's on the worktable - new stained glass mosaic windows
Thought I would share my B-I-G news! I was contacted by a gal about my stained glass mosaic windows. She saw them on Etsy and loved them! <--googley-eyed grin.
She is opening a coffee shop over near Delray Beach, Fl and wanted to use them as the focal point for her decor! Woo Hoo! I am so excited. She ordered EIGHT of them.....the four I had listed and 4 more I am currently working on. In addition I am working on 6 others, 4 for Etsy and 2 for a possible consignment location. I'll share them as I go so you can see their progress.
She asked for some oranges, reds and yellows as two are mostly blues. Here is my orange version in the rough cut stage.
Here is another 9 pane I am making for the Etsy shop. I just LOVE this window! It will have a clear glass mosaic background when completed.
I have 2 more rough cut out to share soon......one a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired "wheat" design in primary colors and the other a beautiful muted shades of purple, green and gold featuring some amazing daisy patterned pressed glass. Stay tuned! :)
Don't forget our 20% off sale is still going on through the end of the month!

Moving sale continues and a project.....
So, we are still in a holding pattern on housing, but hey, why worry yet, right. We still have 13 days! Ack! Will we rent, buy, build? Will we live in a hollow tree (Hey FREE cookies). Who knows? Meanwhile, I have decided to continue our moving sale until the end of the month. I, thanks to Wonder Boy's brilliant suggestion, packed nearly everything up in coded, ready to ship boxes, so all is well. :)
Today I have done some Markdowns & Re-listings, the 20% coupon is still valid until 9/30 [MOVING20] and 10 new windows are in the works over in the Etsy shoppe.......hope you'll stop by! :)
I actually have still been repurposing a bit, here & there. It's hard when your toys are all packed up! :::sniffle, sigh:::. But I can share the newest addition to the "Perfectly Pink, Peacock, Princess, Pirate bedroom" that belongs to Her Royal Majesty Princess Pookie and her humbleMistress Servant, me!
I scooped up this amazing (albeit disgustingly dirty lamp) this summer at a sale. I knew it was the perfect bedside lamp I had been dreaming of. So, Hubs and I tackled her.
He rewired her and I repainted her "parts" Flat Black (After using my fave Krylon Gray primer of course).
While he is rewiring her, he says, "You know that the bottom glass lights up too, right?
Squeal!! Why no, no I did not. How seriously cools is that?
I have my own beautiful night light.....awesome. I already have one repurposed light on my dresser with a gorgeous black beaded shade (which I just happened to have another one of) So, now she is adorned with proper, shiny head wear! What do you think? I think she is purrrrrrfect.

Oh, btw, ignore the naked nightstand. It is usually adorned with pretties and a to-die-for embroidered vintage peacock dresser scarf....but you know....it's packed! :::Sigh:::
